Update and MowPro!

Just a quick update – I’ve been busy getting promoted and getting ready to take a vacation with my lovely wife.

We’re going to enjoy the sand, surf, and sun of beautiful Corpus Christi, Texas. I wanted to get a small camera that can survive being used at the beach, so I picked up a $43 Lightdow LD4000 that I now refer to as the Fauxpro.

I wanted to give it a little test, and this is what happened. Enjoy!

(Sidenote: Yes, I’m aware that the timestamp is wrong. I fixed that once I noticed it reviewing the footage.)

Inaugural Post

Good evening reader!

I decided to launch a blog to showcase current and future projects, discuss topics that I am knowledgeable and passionate about, and share with the world what I learn along the way.

I won’t make any promises about being right 100% of the time.  I am probably going to be wrong a lot on this blog. I’m not a professional blogger, nor am I a mechanic, welder, gunsmith, or soldier. I’m a guy with a few hobbies and a computer.

I also won’t make any promises about not upsetting anyone. Folks, this probably won’t be a safe space for people with tender dispositions. I won’t be intentionally callous or insensitive, but there’s only so much tiptoeing I am capable of. I may present arguments that challenge what you think, and that’s a good thing. I’ll do my best to cite evidence and present them in a reasonable manner, without attacking anyone personally. If you disagree with something I post, feel free to leave a comment, but afford me the same courtesy. We’re all friends, here. (Oh, and it should go without saying that hate speech will not be tolerated.)

Expect the first post with actual content in the next few days, until then enjoy this picture of our dog, Diesel.
